The tax credit subsidy improves the company’s possibilities to implement an industrial-scale biogas plant in the Kruunupyy-Pedersöre area in Ostrobothnia.** Large investments in the clean transition are supported by a program implemented by Business Finland, which has two parts: grants and tax credits. The tax credit is allocated to the corporate tax payable to the state after the biogas plant is operational. “We are delighted with the trust placed in our project. The tax credit will accelerate the transition towards a low-carbon future and energy production based on the circular economy, while also contributing to an investment-friendly operating environment,” says **Leena Helminen**, CEO of Suomen Lantakaasu. Suomen Lantakaasu aims to produce manure-based biogas and other circular economy products. The company is currently conducting a feasibility study for a biogas plant in the Kruunupyy-Pedersöre area. The study also examines the processing methods of digestate and the possibility of producing biogenic carbon dioxide. The project has received a grant for the feasibility study from the Ministry of the Environment’s Ahti program. There is a lot of agricultural production in the region, including many livestock farms.
